DERMA PN & PDRN SOLUTION – Nucleotide and polynucleotide-based treatment
Derma-PN & PDRN Solution: Anti-wrinkle facial treatment based on Nucleotides and Polynucleotides in sterile vials.
Polynucleotides are biocompatible molecules of significant interest in the field of advanced aesthetics and aesthetic medicine, thanks to their proven ability to stimulate cell regeneration and skin rejuvenation. Composed of long chains of nucleotides, these compounds penetrate the deeper layers of the dermis, improving its elasticity and tone. Polynucleotides promote the synthesis of collagen and elastin, two proteins essential for maintaining skin’s youthfulness and radiance.
Derma-PN & PDRN Solution composition:
- Sodium DNA (TYPE OF “PN” Polynucleotide): Sodium DNA (polynucleotide) is used in aesthetics and aesthetic medicine due to its regenerative properties, aimed at improving skin texture, elasticity, and hydration, as well as improving the appearance of wrinkles. This substance exerts its action by stimulating cellular repair processes, collagen synthesis (through mechanisms such as the activation of purinergic receptors) and provides the nucleotide bases essential for correct cellular functioning. These effects give sodium DNA an important role in anti-aging and tissue regeneration treatments;
- Hydrolyzed RNA (TYPE OF “PN” Polynucleotide): Hydrolyzed RNA is used in aesthetics and aesthetic medicine due to its regenerative properties. As a messenger molecule, RNA can modulate gene expression, promoting the synthesis of new collagen and elastin, essential components for maintaining firm and smooth skin. Hydrolyzed RNA is frequently combined with hydrolyzed DNA to form polynucleotides, also known as PDRN; These treatments penetrate the deep layers of the skin, stimulating cell regeneration, repairing damaged tissue, and restoring intercellular space. Furthermore, hydrolyzed RNA induces skin cells to synthesize proteins involved in repair processes, thus improving the dermal structure and counteracting the damage caused by environmental stressors such as ultraviolet radiation and air pollution. In 2024, a clinical study highlighted a crucial role in skin wound healing, opening up new therapeutic perspectives for the treatment of slow-healing wounds;
- Hydrolyzed DNA (TYPE OF “PDRN” Polydeoxyribonucleotide): Hydrolyzed DNA is a functional active substance aimed at improving skin health and overall appearance. It promotes skin regeneration, stimulates collagen synthesis, increases dermal elasticity, and helps reduce wrinkles, giving skin a firmer, more hydrated, and radiant appearance. Furthermore, it provides hydration and antioxidant support, proving particularly effective in promoting greater regenerative effects;
- Trehalose: Trehalose is used for its anti-aging properties, particularly as a moisturizer and antioxidant, helping protect the skin from environmental damage and oxidative stress. It is also the subject of in-depth studies regarding its potential to promote the wound healing process and is frequently combined with other active functional substances, such as hyaluronic acid, in order to enhance its regenerative and anti-aging effects on the skin;
- Allantoin: Thanks to its soothing, moisturizing, and cellular regenerative properties (by stimulating cell production), it is particularly suitable for treating and improving the appearance of scars and signs of aging. It promotes the acceleration of tissue repair processes and can be effectively combined with other active functional substances in order to reduce skin irritation;
- Sodium hyaluronate: Non-cross-linked sodium hyaluronate is used in aesthetics and aesthetic medicine for skin biorevitalization, helping to improve skin hydration, tone, and elasticity. Unlike the cross-linked hyaluronic acid used in fillers, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid is metabolized through natural processes, making it particularly suitable for rejuvenation treatments that enhance the skin’s intrinsic water-retaining properties.
The fundamental distinction between hydrolyzed DNA and hydrolyzed RNA lies in the nature of the bases that constitute their respective molecular components: in the case of hydrolyzed DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), fragments are observed resulting from the cleavage of the DNA molecule, while in hydrolyzed RNA (ribonucleic acid), fragments originate from the degradation of the RNA molecule. DNA hydrolysis produces fragments that retain the characteristics of the sugar deoxyribose, the base thymine, and the phosphate group, while RNA hydrolysis generates fragments containing ribose, uracil, and phosphate groups.
Hydrolyzed DNA and RNA are used in regenerative aesthetic treatments for their biostimulating and revitalizing properties. The hydrolyzed fragments, with a low molecular weight, penetrate the skin better, supplying tissues with essential nucleotides and stimulating cellular regeneration. These treatments improve hydration, elasticity, density, and skin repair.
